Description
An inscription on the front flyleaf of this 22-page book reads, "Account of monies paid and received by James Poor on a/c Jarvis Slade, North Andover, 1853." However, none of the accounts remain, and it is unknown if James Poor or possibly his wife wrote the recipes in the book. Included are recipes for many kinds of cakes, cake filling, cake frosting, pudding, and preserves. A complete list of the recipes is provided in a database available at the library.
