This leather-covered recipe book is neatly laid out with page numbers. The online library catalog record shows three images from the book: the book's front cover; the inside front cover and the first page (both blank); and facing pages 4 and 5. Pages 4 and 5 contain recipes for Mulled Wine, Ginger Beer, Sarsaparilla Mead, Dandelion Beer, "Pomgranite" Cordial, Senna Syrup, Beef Tea, and Caudle. The Dandelion Beer is an unusual recipe. More commonly, dandelion blossoms were used to make sweet wine. The pomegranate cordial is annotated "For Dysentery Calcutta." The senna syrup, beef tea, and caudle all had medical applications.
